Return Policy

This Return Policy explains the terms and conditions governing returns, refunds, and cancellations for services provided by Lifeyoungclean ("we," "our," or "us"). Please read this policy carefully before booking our curtain hanging and home textile styling services.

1. Service Cancellations

1.1 Cancellation by Customer

You may cancel your scheduled service booking at any time before we begin work. Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email or phone. The following terms apply:

  • More than 48 hours before scheduled service: Full refund of any deposit paid, less any non-refundable costs already incurred
  • 24-48 hours before scheduled service: 50% refund of deposit, less any non-refundable costs
  • Less than 24 hours before scheduled service: No refund of deposit, as costs have been committed for the service
  • After service has commenced: No refund for work already completed

1.2 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Severe weather conditions
  • Equipment failure or unavailability
  • Safety concerns at the service location
  • Unforeseen circumstances that prevent service delivery

If we cancel your service, we will provide a full refund of any amounts paid or reschedule your service at your convenience, at no additional cost.

2. Service Modifications

2.1 Change Requests

If you wish to modify your service booking, please contact us as soon as possible. We will accommodate reasonable change requests subject to availability and may charge additional fees if the modifications require additional time or materials.

2.2 Additional Services

If you request additional services during the installation or consultation, we will provide a quote for the additional work before proceeding. You may accept or decline the additional services, but you will be charged for any work already completed.

3. Satisfaction Guarantee

3.1 Workmanship

We stand behind the quality of our workmanship. If you are not satisfied with the installation or styling work performed, please contact us within 7 days of service completion. We will inspect the work and address any issues at no additional cost, provided that:

  • The issue is due to our workmanship or installation error
  • You have not modified, damaged, or interfered with the installed items
  • The complaint is made in good faith and within the specified timeframe

3.2 Cosmetic Defects

If you notice any cosmetic defects in our work within 7 days of service completion, please notify us immediately. We will inspect and rectify any defects that are due to our installation or workmanship at no charge.

4. Product Returns

4.1 Custom Orders

Custom-made curtains, textiles, or other products made to your specific measurements and specifications are not eligible for return or refund unless there is a manufacturing defect or error on our part. Custom products are specifically created for your space and cannot be resold to other customers.

4.2 Ready-Made Products

Ready-made products purchased through us may be returned within 14 days of purchase, provided that:

  • The products are unused and in their original condition
  • Original packaging and tags are intact
  • A return authorization has been obtained from us
  • The products are returned with proof of purchase

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to our error or a defective product.

4.3 Defective Products

If you receive a defective product, please contact us immediately. We will arrange for inspection and replacement or refund at our discretion. Defective products must be reported within 7 days of receipt to be eligible for return or replacement.

5. Refund Processing

5.1 Refund Eligibility

Refunds will be processed according to the terms outlined in this policy. Eligible refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 10-14 business days of approval.

5.2 Refund Amount

The refund amount will be calculated as follows:

  • For cancelled services: Deposit amount minus any non-refundable costs already incurred
  • For incomplete services: Proportionate refund based on work not completed
  • For returned products: Purchase price minus any restocking fees, if applicable

5.3 Non-Refundable Items

The following items and costs are non-refundable:

  • Services already completed
  • Custom-made products specifically created for you
  • Installation fees for completed work
  • Travel fees and costs already incurred
  • Consultation fees for completed consultations
  • Products that have been used, damaged, or altered by the customer

6. Warranty

6.1 Installation Warranty

We provide a 12-month warranty on installation workmanship against defects arising from improper installation. This warranty covers:

  • Hardware coming loose or failing due to improper installation
  • Curtains not operating correctly due to installation errors
  • Damage to walls or fixtures caused by our installation methods

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Damage caused by third parties or natural disasters
  • Issues with products themselves, which are covered by manufacturer warranties

6.2 Product Warranties

Products purchased through us may be covered by manufacturer warranties. We will provide warranty information for products we supply and assist with warranty claims when possible. Manufacturer warranty terms vary by product and manufacturer.

7. Dispute Resolution

If you have a dispute regarding a return, refund, or service issue, please contact us to discuss the matter. We are committed to resolving disputes fairly and will work with you to find a satisfactory solution.

If we are unable to resolve a dispute directly, you may:

  • Contact the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC)
  • Seek assistance from your state or territory consumer protection agency
  • Pursue other legal remedies available under Australian consumer law

8. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Return Policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If our services or products fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to remedies including repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

Consumer guarantees under Australian Consumer Law apply regardless of any warranties we provide and cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified by this policy.

9. Change Requests After Completion

If you wish to modify work after it has been completed, such as changing curtain positions, adjusting styling, or making alterations, such requests will be treated as new service bookings and will be charged accordingly. We will provide a quote before undertaking any modification work.
